How to become an Active member?
Knee surgeons can apply for EKS Active membership under strict criteria based upon expertise and clinical or scientifical merits.
Besides orthopaedic surgeons, scientists can also become member.

The application period is now CLOSED. Deadline: 15 January 2023.
Applications received after 15 January, 2023 will not be reviewed.
New members will be elected at the next General Assembly end of January 2023. 1 Active Member sponsoring the application must be present at the General Assembly .
Please send all necessary documents to the EKS Secretariat by 15 January 2023.
How to become an International member?
There are currently no open spots for International Members according to the EKS bylaws.
How to become a Junior Member?
A young Orthopedic Surgeon or research scientist aged less than 45, who has demonstrated interest in the advancement of orthopedic surgical knowledge of the knee joint in health and/or arthritic disorders of the knee can become an EKS Junior Member.
The applicant should be one year or more post-residency or fellowship, or completion of formal education or training, (i.e., PhD) at the time of presentation by the Membership Chair to the Board at the Members Meeting .

A doctor, orthopedic surgeon or research scientist, who has interest in the advancement of orthopedic surgical knowledge of the knee joint in health and/or arthritic disorders of the knee. can become an EKS Affiliated Member.
The applicant should be one year or more post-residency or fellowship, or completion of formal education or training, (i.e., PhD) at the time of presentation by the Membership Chair to the Board at the Members Meeting .

The Annual Membership fee is € 150,00 (1 January - 31 December)
